Traditional pet names like Rover or Spot are being replaced by newer funky ones like Molly or Oscar.
A survey of popular pet names found that lots of them were also in list of the most-used names for babies.
The survey also found that some pet owners even referred to themselves as mummy and daddy and left the TV or radio on for them while they're out.
Old favourite Tigger is still the top name for cats, but then Oscar, Charlie and Max are most often chosen.
