The American pika is a small, furry, rabbit-like creature that lives in cool damp areas of the Rocky Mountains in the US and Canada.
According to the World Wildlife Fund it's in danger because these areas are being destroyed as the world heats up.
A recent study shows that the population of pikas in the US has already dropped by one third.
And it might not be the only species in danger.
As the climate gets warmer, other animals which need cooler habitats, like polar bears and Arctic birds, are in more and more danger.
Experts say that the disappearance of the pika is like a red flag, warning us about what we are doing to the environment.
