Some of the stolen creatures belong to endangered species.
They are very valuable and it's thought that the thieves will try to sell them.
The haul included 37 turtles, a tortoise, a parrot, a duck, a sheep and a peacock.
Three of the missing turtles were Arrau turtles - Venezuela's most endangered species.
The thieves struck at a zoo in the Venezuelan capital, Caracas, on 23 July.
They also took some stuffed animals.
A police spokesman said the thieves took the creatures to sell them - and not to eat them.
