Meet one of Britain's tiniest horses!
Updated 19 July 2003, 14.28
Owner David can carry little Denburn Fairley in his arms
Meet one of Britain's tiniest horses!

He's called Denburn Fairley and he's so tiny he can fit in his owner's arms.

Denburn was just 18ins (45cm) when he was born, and when he grows up he's unlikely to get any bigger than 29ins (73cm).

Denburn Fairley will be around 29ins when he grows up

He was bred by David Reid from Aberdeen, who says Denburn is unusually small.

Denburn is a miniature Shetland pony.

Guide dogs

His breed are pretty special animals.

They have been used in the same way as guide dogs to help blind and poorly-sighted people find their way.

The ponies are slightly bigger than dogs, but they're still tiny enough to fit in the back of a car.
