One type of bee is nearly extinct in the UK, and most other species are in danger.
In fact, their numbers have dropped rapidly over the past 70 years.

It's because farmers use more pesticides these days, and because there aren't so many crops which rely on being pollinated by insects.
This means there aren't as many plants around which bees need to survive.
Now the National Trust and English Nature are calling on gardeners to help the bees by planting lots of flowers that the buzzy bumbles like.
