The zoo was looted when Saddam Hussein's leadership was toppled. People stole animals like monkeys, bears, horses and camels, which are seen as valuable.
But some animals, like lions and tigers, which were seen as too dangerous to steal, were left behind.
Some of them were not fed for days.
But the shipment of food from Kuwait hopefully means the animals will be OK for the next few weeks.
