The police were called to a break-in at a garage in Twerton, Bath, where they arrested a man suspected of burglary.
When they came back to try and find the stolen loot, they were met by a friendly grey squirrel standing in front of the garage.
The police were shocked when the little fluff-ball appeared to want them to follow him for about 100 metres.
So they did.
It kept stopping to check the coppers were still behind him until he reached a tree and scampered up it.
There at the foot of the tree, to their amazement, the police found the stolen goods.
And what did PC Grey Squirrel get as a reward? Nuts, of course!
