Dogs are losing out to cats
The Cats Protection League survey also said that almost 40% of people said cats were their favourite pet, with just 7% choosing dogs.

The charity reckon that as people's lives get busier cats are becoming more popular, because they are more independent.

The research also said people liked cats because they were affectionate, clean and good stress relievers.
