The springer spaniel had to have a leg amputated last year after he developed arthritis in his back limb.
'He's a great asset'
His police pals were worried it would mean the end of his career at Wiltshire Constabulary.
But Snoopy has defied the odds and is back on the job of nosing out trouble.
His duties include hunting for drugs, guns and weapons.
One of Snoopy's police friends in Wiltshire said: "He's a great asset although a little unusual looking now."
But Snoopy is due to retire soon, and a new, younger puppy is being trained up for his job.
