By delivering them on elephant back!
Beating illiteracy
Illiteracy - or people being unable to read or write - is a big problem in Thailand.
Three million of Thailand's 62 million people are illiterate. Most of them live in jungle villages that can't be reached by car.
Teaching teams
Four elephants have been hired to deliver the school kits to 44 villages in the northern Chiang Mai province.
Each group will include a teacher, health official, border patrol policeman and an elephant keeper.
They will spend 15 days in every village and hold daily classes - and they will return until the villagers are able to read and write.
Can you imagine - an elephant trumpet rather than a school bell!
