  Sick cats recover with bird videos

Cats in a US vet hospital are being shown videos of birds to help them recover.

The poorly felines sometimes have to spend weeks on their own at the Oklahoma State University hospital because of their illnesses.

Their only human contact is when staff change their litter and bring food.

Kind cat lover

But a sympathetic cat lover donated a TV, a video and some tapes.

Now the cats spend hours watching films of birds.

One of the doctors says it's definitely making a difference.

He said: "When you peek through the viewing window, the cats are often watching the video."
