Wildlife experts are in flap because they think Harry Potter fans might want their own Hedwig as a Christmas present this year.
They are worried that the spectacular stunts that Hedwig and the other owls perform in the film will make them one of the most popular present pleads.
But owls aren't the kind of animals that should be kept as pets because they take lots of looking after and need to eat dead chicks every day.
The experts are also worried that childrens' interest in their new feathered friends might not last long, and the birds would just be let back into the wild.
Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles
Snowy Owls like Hedwig aren't so much of a problem because they are so expensive, costing between £300 and £400. More of a worry are barn owls, who only cost £25.
The same thing happened about 10 years ago, when every child in Britain wanted a turtle because of a film, called Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles.
