The Lion, the Witch and the Honchos
The Lion the witch and the Wardrobe
As long as I get the Lion's share of the box office..

It had to happen.

They couldn't let the good lion rest within the safety of his literary confines.

All it took was a flick of a Harry Potter wand and an overblown Ring piece to make the Hollywood honchos rub their hands in glee.

The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe
Get back in yer hole, children..
Yes, the rights to the Chronichles of Narnia have been bought by a film company planning to take them to the big screen.

Walden Media managed to secure the rights over Paramount and Disney.

Fortunately, C.S. Lewis' stepson Douglas Gresham is to oversee the development of the film as part of the deal.

Cary Granat (yes that is his name) of Walden Media said "We were very fortunate that the C.S.Lewis Company saw eye to eye with us on exactly how to make this film."

Lets hope so - here in Blighty we know how we like our Aslan and he doesn't have an American accent.

And we don't want the movie retitled the Lion, the Witch and the Closet.

Not that theres' anything wrong with that, it would just be well, wrong.

It would be like sacrificing the good lion on a stone altar.

Which is in fact the ending of the book.

Ha! Spoiled it for you.
