US MARINE REPUBLICAN GUARD
A private in the Marine Corps is paid $1,022.70 a month. They receive free housing on base, and have 30 days leave a year.

Free medical insurance covers the marine and their family. After three years a Marine is eligible for up to $28,800 to spend on their education. Marines can retire on a pension after 20 years of service.

All Republican Guard troops are volunteers rather than conscripts. Personnel recruited into the guard are given bonuses and subsidised housing.
