|Policy director - Oliver Letwin
In opposition, Mr Letwin has held two of the highest profile posts - shadow home secretary and shadow chancellor.
After this year's election he decided to take the environment, food and rural affairs brief but now will be reviewing policy across the board.
The Old Etonian Mr Letwin was one of the Tory frontbenchers targeted by the Lib Dems in the general election. He survived, partly thanks to hunt supporters in his West Dorset constituency.
In the 2001 election, he famously went into "hiding" after suggesting to a newspaper that the party wanted to cut public spending by £20bn.
