M25
Junctions 10 - 21A

The UK's second most congested stretch of road. Serves as a major link between the south of England and the west, Midlands and north. Carries commuter traffic to and from Greater London suburbs and surrounding towns and heavy airport traffic to and from Heathrow, Gatwick and Luton Airports.

Work starts in 2004 on extra lanes between junctions 12 and 15. The future of the M25 as a whole is under consideration in a government study of London's orbital transport network.
