Junctions 6A – 13

The UK's fourth most congested stretch of road. Carries traffic flowing between Midlands and the north of England and the south via the M25. This is joined by commuter traffic to and from the M25 corridor and Greater London, plus traffic to and from Luton Airport. Peak time local traffic has declined – possibly because the road is too frequently congested.
