At around 3 pm we stop for lunch. We are running late as always. Today we are invited to lunch by the headman of one of the villages we've visited.
After a drink of water, we sit down to a traditional Rajasthani meal.
Four of us eat off the same plate – as a sign of brotherhood. Lunch consists of vegetables, lentils and coarse millet bread, washed down with buttermilk.
It is a break as well for my campaign staff – many of whom have been working tirelessly for the past several weeks.
