I begin by reminding them that 1 December is the most important day in their lives. On that day, they have the right to choose their representative.
I tell them also that it is not an election to vote in a village headman, not a decision about who digs the well in the background. It is much bigger than that.
It is a vote to develop the region, to strengthen their links with other parts of the state. I urge them to broaden their vision. They know my record as district president – now it is their turn to judge me.
