Introduction

As part of the BBC News Online series about people's daily lives, Jamila Mujahid talks about her life as a radio and television presenter in Kabul, Afghanistan.

I am from the Hotak tribe - which is well known in the Pashtun community. My family was originally from the southern city of Kandahar but settled in the capital about 150 years ago.

I was born in Kabul and have been educated entirely in Afghanistan. I've been a presenter for many years.
