When the Taleban seized power in 1996, I had to stop broadcasting and go home.

Those were difficult days. After so many years of working, I was only cooking for my family and taking care of my children. But I also held secret classes for women in my home.

When sanctions were imposed on the Taleban, I began working for an international NGO. It was dangerous, because if you were caught, you would be sent to prison.
