Dr Frank Rühli, manager of the mummy Project, said: "The new software provides us, for the first time, with an absolutely non-destructive examination method without having to moisten valuable tissue before the examination." The researchers hope to develop the software further to to produce ever more precise detail without the need for X-rays.
