On the margins

Italy's Roma have often borne the brunt of recent anti-immigrant sentiment.

More than 600 people live in Rome's Casilino 900 camp, which was first settled by Roma arriving from former Yugoslavia in the 1960s.

Under pressure from local residents, city authorities have repeatedly said they intended to close the camp.
