I see myself first as Israeli, also half Spanish and half from Aleppo in Syria. My family is originally from Spain but following our expulsion in 1492 we were scattered across the region.

One branch of my family ended up in Syria. Another branch of my family came to Jerusalem. That part of the family has lived here for 17 generations
