Iraq remains the issue attracting the most disapproval – almost three-quarters of those polled.

More than half the Americans questioned disapproved of how the US is handling the war, and in 23 of the 25 countries the majority view is that the US is provoking more conflict than it prevents.

Only in Nigeria do more people view it as stabilising.
