It was not easy for us to found this Republic. Five uncles died in the war of independence, so I had to go to the funeral in Ankara.

The government and Vakit newspaper encouraged this. The government is trying to destroy our republic, using the Islamic headscarf as a tool. Some trust them, but our intellectuals do not.
