The Da Vinci Code opened the festival. A giant pyramid was erected in the marina for an after-premiere party for the film’s stars, Tom Hanks, Audrey Tautou, Sir Ian McKellen, Paul Bettany and Jean Reno. But the film was booed during a press screening.
