Twenty-two-year-old Tom Lascelles, currently unemployed, of west London, says it is his right as a taxpayer to smoke in the pub.

“I can understand why Wetherspoons made the decision but I don’t agree with it.

“I like to have a fag with my beer and I shouldn’t be made to go out and stand in the rain if I want to smoke.”
