Retired care assistant Alex Casale, 67, says she believes Mr Brown will be a "more forceful" prime minister than Mr Blair. "I hope Tony stays as long as possible, but I don't mind Gordon Brown taking over when it's the right time. We don't want the same shambles you get with the Tories - every five minutes you get another leader."
