Missing skull

At some point the platypus holotype became "lost" among other platypus specimens.

Another famous scientist - Michael Rogers Oldfield Thomas - "re-discovered" it by matching it with Shaw’s original description.

But he noted something was missing – the animal’s skull (in many cases, a holotype's skull is kept along with its skin).
