Solar cells Hydrogen Solar's Tandem Cell uses sunlight to split water into hydrogen and oxygen. The cells have nanocrystalline metal particles on their surface, giving them a vast surface area with which to collect the Sun's energy. Currently, it converts just over 8% of the Sun's energy into pure hydrogen. Hydrogen is potentially a clean source of fuel. |
