Bryde's whale

Bryde's whales are found mainly in tropical or subtropical seas. They were long confused with sei whales. There are no agreed estimates of numbers, although there are thought to be about around 25,000 in the western North Pacific.

They were only commercially exploited in any numbers between the 1970s and 1986.
