Panama Coiba National Park, in the Gulf of Chiriqui, is made up of Coiba island and 38 smaller islands and is renowned for its marine bio-diversity. Coiba Island is said to be the last refuge for a number of threatened species such as the Crested Eagle, but the area is also seeing new species being formed. |
