'Stubborn Southerner'

Ida Punzo had assumed Katrina would blow itself out before reaching Biloxi.

"These walls were solid. Brick walls, knocked down," she said from the shell of her 130-year-old house.

But she would stay and rebuild. "Where else am I going to go that I can call home? I've got no place else to go."

Anyway, "I'm a stubborn Southerner".
