Rail deaths down

Deaths on the UK's railway in the year April 2003 - March 2004 were the lowest for five years.

HM Railway Inspectorate reports that no passengers died in train crashes, but one large-scale disaster would have wrecked those figures.

However, the report does not cover the Berkshire crash in November 2004 in which six people died.
