Sheep in the fields of County Antrim in Northern Ireland were in need of their winter coats as snow fell on Christmas Day morning.

More than a third of the country – from Cornwall to the north of Scotland - enjoyed classic white Christmas conditions, though severe weather warnings were issued in several areas because of the cold snap.
