The splendour and majesty of French Sun King Louis XIV is going on display at the Louvre in Paris to celebrate the opening of its Apollo Gallery after three years of renovation.

As well as the French crown jewels, visitors can see an entire collection of unique paintings, sculptures and objets d'art created for the king.
