Stella Omony, 17, witnessed the rebel use machetes and clubs to kill 13 people.

Her brother was one of the victims.

She now walks to the town of Lira each day to sleep at her friend’s house in case the rebels return to her village.

"I leave home at about 4 o’clock - it takes me two hours, so I have to walk for four hours every day."
