Introduction

The areas earmarked for growth in England are:

  • Thames Gateway
  • The Milton Keynes area
  • Ashford, Kent
  • The London-Stansted corridor

    Whitehall drew up this plan with the agreement of local councils. The first visible signs of change will start to appear in 2005.
