“We hiked 10km up the mountain to watch Lance Armstrong, in the leader's yellow jersey and Jan Ullrich battle for supremacy in the Tour de France.

“When they get to the top they get a lift to a nice hotel. I had to walk 10km back to the bottom and then sleep in a tent.”
