In pictures: The UN in Haiti

		Citie Soleil The Brazilian contingent is the largest in a UN force of 9000 soldiers and police. A visit to Cite Soleil involves a briefing by Brazilian officers and a clear itinerary. It was UN peacekeepers from Brazil who were called in to contain rioters in April 2007 as they approached the presidential palace. The riots had begun after a sharp rise in food prices. Seven people were killed and the Prime Minister Alexis was dismissed by the Senate.
