		There is no mains electricity. Kettles are filled from outdoor taps and boiled on gas stoves. Some simply make do with a flask of hot tea or a cold beer. Mike Nobbs, 57, spent his first holiday in Portland aged just three weeks old. He now shares the beach hut, which originally belonged to his grandmother, with his wife Jean.
