		On the scene In the wake of natural disasters and humanitarian emergencies, one of the first teams on the scene is from a charity you may never have heard of: MapAction. While international aid often abounds in such situations, aid agencies may know little about the region in which they've been deployed. For much of the world's surface, accurate and annotated maps simply don't exist. MapAction sets up in the midst of such aid agencies, integrating data from a wide array of sources.
