"I have to wash every part of my whole body before I go to pray. The water must touch every part of my body," says Bahgat.

Ramadan is a month of fasting, and he has not eaten or drunk since sunrise, when he ate grapes, dates and figs and drank some water.

"But when I get to al-Aqsa, I will forget about hunger," he says.
