In pictures: Holocaust survivors exhibition

A major new exhibition has opened at Israel’s national Holocaust museum, Yad Vashem, documenting the role of Holocaust survivors in the development of the state.

The exhibition is aimed at trying to change traditional perceptions of Holocaust survivors among Israeli society at large.

The year-long display is part of a series of events marking Israel’s 60th anniversary next month.
