Buried mosque

Only the tip of this minaret peeks out of a huge sand dune on Egypt's northern Mediterranean coast.

Archaelogists stumbled upon the ninth century site at Baltim, in 1998.

They believe the entire mosque of Sidi El-Kheshoey is buried intact underneath the sand.

Some believe the endlessly shifting dunes conceal the remains of a village too.
