In pictures: Mexico's women wrestlers


Like the men's wrestling, a key part of women’s lucha libre is the traditional masks or mascaras.

The masks and exotic costumes are all part of the show, while the wrestling itself is marked by flamboyant jumps, kicks and bone-crunching falls.

Being unmasked by an opponent during a bout is seen as the ultimate insult.
