In pictures: Building toilets in Peru

This toilet was used by children at a nursery school in the town of Pachacutec in Peru.

It was transformed this year by a group of young volunteers from Platform2, a free volunteer scheme for 18- 25 year olds.

The toilet had no flushing mechanism and the wooden cover was an attempt to contain the stench.
