In pictures: Sketching Burma's cyclone

For some of the children, the message behind the pictures was simple.

While he was drawing this sketch, Zaw Min Htwe told aid workers: "Now my sister is gone."

The foundation hopes their techniques – including art therapy – will be incorporated by parents and teachers to help to deal with the grief.

But as one aid worker points out, the scale of the tragedy suffered in the region means they are often learning from the Burmese how to deal with trauma and suffering.
