Those living around the village pass freely though the settlement, such as this cattle herder walking past a typical hut.

Residents of the village can also move from the village without restriction. "They are safe here," said Mr Cirrillo. "Nobody will chase someone coming to get treatment here, they just say, 'Poor man, you have suffered.'"
